Dr. Gordon's teaching draws on her extensive experiences in community mental health, domestic violence, and immigrant issues. She is particularly interested in international social work and in services for new immigrants. She was the recipient of two Fulbright Grants, one to Colombia and another to conduct reserch in Mexico. As an active member of NASW's Women's Issues Committee, Dr. Gordon has played and important role in organizing workshops and conferences on this theme. Westchester NASW honored her as Social Worker of the Year in 2006.

Dr. Gonchar has extensive experience in health, mental health and college student counseling, with an emphasis on services for women, children and families. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Gonchar has presented at professional conferences, joined professional advisory boards for non-profit agencies, worked on successful grants and published articles related to social work and education.

Dr. Hernández has many years of direct practice experience with children, adults, and families, and in administering clinical and residential community mental health programs. She is a licensed social worker and is a clinical consultant to mental health programs. Dr. Hernández conducts professional conference and workshop presentations in the areas of child welfare, child abuse and neglect mandated reporting, cultural diversity, plap therapy, social work practice with children and adolescents, and mental health issues.
