Major
The requirements for Spanish majors include the general requirements
of the School of Arts and Sciences and some knowledge of a second
foreign language is strongly recommended.
The major in Spanish consists of 36 credits earned in courses taken
beyond the elementary level. SPA
101-102 Elementary Spanish does not count towards the
major.
Students who elect Spanish as part of a double major may work out
a special program in consultation with the department concerned.

Students who want to graduate with Honors in Spanish will have to
complete a
thesis in the last semester of their senior year.
