October 12-16: International Conference Yari Yari Pamberi: Black Women Writers Dissecting Globalization, sponsored by the Organization of Women Writers of Africa, at New York University. Dr. Perez-Bustillo attended and read her poetry

Friday, October 15: Class fieldtrip to the award-winning film Maria Full of Grace at Lincoln Cinema, coordinated by Dr. Perez-Bustillo

October 21-23, Annual Meeting of the Classical Association of the Empire State in Binghamton, NY, attended by Dr. Raia
