The Westchester Consortium for International Studies, an educational alliance of The College of New Rochelle, Manhattanville College and Marymount College Tarrytown, was founded in 1988 with a grant from the Hitachi Foundation and incorporated in 1989. Dedicated to strengthening the international perspective of its member institutions through their International Studies Programs, the consortium services the larger community of Westchester as well. Since its founding, WCIS has supported faculty, student, and community learning through a variety of programs: public lectures, symposia, faculty development seminars, overseas study and travel, film series, theater and arts programs, and annual international career evenings.
