| In a multicultural world in transition, understanding a foreign language
and culture is essential. At The College of New Rochelle, language students and
others who wish to study abroad for a semester or two, or during the summer are
encouraged to do so provided they have a cumulative index of 2.7 and the
recommendation of the department chairperson or advisor. The student's program
of studies has to be approved by the Study Abroad Program Director and her
department chairperson to receive any credit for the work completed. Grades
earned during the semester or summer abroad are converted to the School of Arts
and Sciences quality point scale and these grades are included in the student's
cumulative index. Students with a 3.0 GPA may apply for the Russel and Deborah
Taylor Scholarships for Study Abroad that are granted each semester. |
