Art Scholarships are available beginning Spring 2010!

To apply for an art scholarship at The College of New Rochelle, you must have your portfolio reviewed. Incoming freshman, Please send an email to Professor Cristina deGennaro, the prospective student coordinator, at cdegennaro@cnr.edu, and include your name, phone, email, and the name of your current high school or college. She will contact you soon.

Incoming transfer students, please send your information to Professor William Maxwell, the transfer student coordinator, at wmaxwell@cnr.edu and he will contact you soon.

The Art Dept of The College of New Rochelle highly recommends a portfolio review for admission to the program. A portfolio review is required for admission to the B.F.A. program and for application for scholarships. The portfolio should contain a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 20 pieces.We suggest that all work be appropriately mounted and protected (no glass or frames). 3-Dimensional work is best represented in slides or digital images.

Students can schedule a Portfolio Review during the Open Houses sponsored by the Office of Admissions. Those who are unable to come to campus on those days may call the Art Department at 914-645-5274 or 914-654-5856. Students who cannot visit the campus can send images of their work by email, or mail a portfolio of slides or images on a CD to the Art Department, The College of New Rochelle, School of Arts & Sciences, New Rochelle, New York 10805.
