Library Instruction
at the College of New Rochelle consists of a
number of different programs to assist the
library user in all aspects of the library
research process. Formal library instruction
classes are arranged by individual faculty
members; these presentations are geared toward
the specific course content and research
requirements of the class. In addition, students
may request individual tutorials with a
reference librarian; these sessions are arranged
in advance, by appointment. Inquire at the
reference desk for details. The Library also
provides handouts, both in print and online, on
how to search the library’s online subscription
databases (ERIC, CINAHL, etc.). Finally, in
cooperation with Learning Support Services and
Academic Computing, the Library offers a
Research Paper Workshop at the main campus
during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students
wishing to sign up for this workshop series
should inquire at the reference desk at the
library’s New Rochelle campus or call (914)
654-5342 during library hours.
