Gill Library is not a
public library, but Visitors are
welcome. A Gill Library Visitor is
someone who is not a staff or
faculty member, student or
administrator at The College of New
Rochelle (CNR) and who is not
eligible to have a CNR Network ID.
While in Gill Library, Visitors are
welcome to use the resources,
subject to availability. Visitors
under middle-school age must be
accompanied by a parent or adult
guardian.
Visitors will be
logged on to a computer only on the
first floor and must follow
these procedures:
-
Before a Visitor
is logged on to a computer, the
Visitor will be asked to read
the Gill Library Visitor Policy
and to adhere to it and all
other
Gill Library Policies.
Not adhering to the stated
policies may result in
revocation of Gill Library
privileges.
-
The Visitor will
leave a valid photo ID (i.e.,
not expired), such as a driver's
license, at the Circulation
Desk. Credit cards will not be
accepted.
-
The Visitor will
observe the
Responsible Internet Use Policy
posted
on the Gill
Library Web site.
-
In the event that a computer is needed
by a CNR student, the Visitor
will be required to relinquish
use of the computer. The
Visitor may be logged on to the
next available computer.
-
Gill Library is
not responsible for lost data or
damaged data storage devices.
-
The Visitor will
return to the Circulation Desk
to retrieve her/his ID when
finished using the computer, and
the Library staff will check-in
the computer and return the ID
card to the Visitor.
A Visitor who wishes
to obtain borrowing privileges at
Gill Library may read the
Subscribers Policy
and may apply for a
Gill Library Subscriber Card at the
Circulation Desk.
