The Matrona of Ephesus

Part I. Reading: Petronius, Satyricon 111-112, Matrona Ephesi

Petronius' story of the matron of Ephesus provides a comprehensive review of much of the grammar commonly covered in a high school Latin 2 course. I begin my Latin 3 course with it so that my students have an interesting text to read while they review the grammar of the previous year.
