THE COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE TO HOLD
OPEN HOUSES AT THREE CAMPUSES IN NEW YORK CITY


 NEW ROCHELLE, NY, July 15, 2005 – If you’re over the age of 21, The College of New Rochelle’s School of New Resources (SNR) can show you how you can get a college degree.   Join us for Open Houses at SNR campuses located in:

  • Co-op City, 755 Co-op City Boulevard, Bronx (718) 320-0300 every Thursday at 6:00 pm and every Friday at 11:00 am, now through September 16.

  • The South Bronx (John Cardinal O’Connor campus), 332 East 149th Street (718) 665-1310 on:  Saturday, July 30, August 6 or August 20, all from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

  • Brooklyn, 1368 Fulton Street (Restoration Plaza) (718) 638-2500 on Tuesday, August 30 and Wednesday, August 31.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and current students, get admissions details, complete required testing, and apply for admission, financial aid, and register for the fall 2005 semester.  Upon request, appointments may also be made on other dates and times. 

Founded in 1972, The College of New Rochelle School of New Resources has graduated over 15,000 adult learners with baccalaureate liberal arts degrees. Over 51% of SNR graduates have gone on to obtain advanced degrees at more than 34 colleges and universities nationwide. Many hold senior management positions in the public and private sectors. SNR currently serves an average of 4,500 adult students on seven campuses with an 86-member, full-time administrative and faculty staff as well as a 500-member, adjunct faculty body. SNR has been recognized internationally as a model for adult education.

The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order. Today, it comprises the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three schools which admit women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult learners), the School of Nursing and the Graduate School.  The main campus of the College is located in lower Westchester County, 16 miles north of New York City.  The College maintains six other campus locations in New York City.
