WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH EVENT
Coming to America:  Latino Women Tell Their Stories

A panel of women representing different nationalities from the Even Start Family Literacy Program in the Tarrytown area in Westchester will share their experiences of emigration and acculturation experiences in the U.S. This event, hosted in Celebration of Women’s History Month and Social Work Month, is sponsored by the Social Work Department in the School of Arts & Sciences at CNR.

Panelists will speak in Spanish but there will be translation.

This event is recommended for people with an interest in Spanish, Women’s Studies, Sociology, and Social Work.

The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order.
