"I
came to the John Cardinal O’Connor Campus because I found the campus
very easy to reach. I’m a single parent returning to college after nine
years. What is important to me is that CNR offers individualized
attention and a schedule that works around my hectic life. I also
appreciate the smaller size classrooms. That’s not something you will
find at a university as an undergraduate."

Why did you decide to
attend the School of New Resources
of The College of New
Rochelle?
I came
to the John Cardinal
O’Connor Campus because I found the campus very easy to reach. I’m a
single parent returning to college after nine years. What is important
to me is that CNR offers individualized attention and a schedule that
works around my hectic life. I also appreciate the smaller size
classrooms. That’s not something you will find at a university as an
undergraduate.

What class was one of your favorites?
I think it would be “Designing the Future” taught by
Professor Yetka Carlisle. This class prepared us for the future as far
as job interviews, finding our mission in life, and going after our
goals. It also was very helpful in preparing me for the rest of my
college career at JOC.

Of all the CNR professors
you’ve had, which was one of your favorites?
I would say Professor Timothy Rodgers. He taught me in
History of Harlem he was my grade adviser. I found him to be easy going
and approachable.

Do you know where you are
headed after graduation?
Yes, I have a clear vision to
where I'm headed. I look forward to utilizing my liberal arts education
to help school-age children in my urban community.
