Tell us something about your family and where you are from?

I am a New Yorker. I was born and raised and still reside in White Plains, New York.

Where did you go to college for your undergraduate degree?

I earned my B.A. degree in early childhood education from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Why did you decide to attend The College of New Rochelle?

I always knew that my education would not stop with just a B.A. I did some research on the graduate schools in Westchester and the programs offered by different colleges.  Because I have my bachelors in education, I wanted to go in a different direction with my masters. The College of New Rochelle is a well known and reputable college that accommodates students who are fully employed. Also, CNR offers wonderful financial aid and scholarships. As I am paying for my own education, the cost of tuition is very important to me. The tuition at The College of New Rochelle is very reasonable, and the class schedule extremely flexible with courses offered in the evenings, on weekends, and during the summer months.  For me, CNR is the perfect college.

Where do you attend classes?

I attend classes on the New Rochelle Campus.

What is your major?

My major is Guidance and Counseling.

Do you have any favorite teachers?

All of my teachers are my favorite because they are all experts in different areas of guidance and counseling. They are all unique and bring different perspectives and experiences to the field of guidance and counseling.

What has surprised you the most about the Graduate School?

I was most surprised by the flexibility of the course scheduling. The College really understands the needs of graduate students and does an excellent job of accommodating them.

Do you have a job on campus?

Yes, I am a graduate assistant in the graduate Division of Education.

When do you expect to graduate?

I plan on graduating in December, 2006.

What are your career plans?

After I graduate from CNR I plan on working as a guidance counselor and eventually return to college for my doctorate.
