UNRESTRICTED
Unrestricted
gifts to the Annual Fund are directed by the College’s Trustees to
those
areas where the need is most pressing.
RESTRICTED
Donations
can be made to a particular program at the College which supports the
donor’s
personal interest.
ENDOWED
A minimum
contribution of $100,000 made either through a lifetime gift or by
bequest
establishes an endowed named fund. The principal is preserved,
and
the income supports the activities of the fund.
For questions about gifts of cash or stock, please contact
Marilyn Saulle, Director of Annual Giving at
msaulle@cnr.edu
CAPITAL
DONATIONS
Capital gifts
for building renovation or construction provide students and faculty
with
physical facilities to support their educational goals.
For questions regarding capital gifts, please contact
Linda David, Executive Director of Development at
ldavid@cnr.edu
NAMING
OPPORTUNITIES
The College
encourages donors to consider having their names recognized through a
commemorative
gift. Naming opportunities for scholarships, programs or
facilities
are available.
For questions regarding endowed funds, capital donations or naming
opportunities,

PLANNED
GIFTS
Many of our
donors are futurists, those who see the importance of planning for
tomorrow's
needs today by making deferred gifts and outright bequests. Members of
the Heritage Society includes donors who have placed major assets
in a charitable trust, not only to meet personal income needs during
life,
but to benefit the College in the years ahead.
For more information regarding Planned Gifts, please contact
Carol Weaver, Major Gifts Officer at
cweaver@cnr.edu
LIFE
INCOME GIFTS
Life income
arrangements vary, but most options offer the following financial
benefits: an income for
life to the donor and a second beneficiary;
a charitable income
tax deduction;
a higher rate
of return than many current investments;
a reduction or
avoidance of capital gains taxes;
savings on estate
and gift taxes;
professional
investment management.
