
THE COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE OFFERS
CHILD ABUSE RECOGNITION & REPORTING SEMINARS
NEW ROCHELLE, NY, October 3, 2008-- The College of New
Rochelle (CNR) will once again offer Child Abuse Recognition and
Reporting Seminars on its Main Campus in New Rochelle. The seminars,
conducted by Gloria Benhuri, M.S., RN, will be offered on Wednesday,
October 15, 2008, from 1 – 3 pm, and Tuesday, November 11, 2008, from 3
– 5 pm, in the Student Campus Center.
The seminar is approved by the New York State Education
Department and designed for licensed professionals, teachers, and
school administrators who are required to identify and report child
abuse. It will cover the physical and behavioral indicators of child
abuse, maltreatment, and statutory reporting requirements. Upon
completion of the two-hour seminar, attendees will receive
certification from the State of New York.
The cost is $50 per person; pre-registration is
required. Registration deadlines are one week prior to the
