It will take place on Sunday, May 7th, from 12 noon to 5 pm on Maura Lawn on the College’s Main Campus in New Rochelle at 29 Castle Place.  (Rain location will be CNR’s Student Campus Center.)  Admission is free, but there will be some cost for food, refreshments and activities.  Parking will be available at Isaac Young Middle School, as well as on the streets surrounding CNR. For further information, please call (914) 654-5326.

WWPR Power 105.1 and DJ Whutevva will be providing the musical entertainment for the afternoon in many genres including Pop, Salsa and R & B. Student performances will also be an added attraction for the afternoon. The Gospel Choir, Black Ice Step Team and Blue Angels Cheerleaders will wow the audience with their outstanding talents and CNR spirit.

The 34th Annual Strawberry Festival will be an exciting day for families, students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Youth-oriented activities include face painting, wax hand sculptures, Moon Bounce House, and the Giant Slide.  Food and refreshments for sale will include chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry smoothies, strawberry shortcake, as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, popcorn, and more.

The Strawberry Festival, which was introduced to CNR in 1973, is the single largest event organized entirely by the College’s undergraduates. The concept of the Strawberry Festival originated in the mid-west during the 1890’s as an American festival celebrating the ripening of strawberries, the blooming of lilacs, and the coming of summer.
