President's Statement on the Tragedy at Virginia Tech

We as College are saddened by the tragedy that befell Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Our prayers and deepest sympathies go to the families and friends and to the entire college community of Virginia Tech.

Confronted with senseless actions in these extraordinary times, we recommit to civility and respect, to service, and to appreciate and nurture the goodness around us.

Let us join together in prayer in this Easter Season and offer our prayers for those killed or wounded in this tragedy. May God’s grace touch us all.
