The Olympic Flame at Salt Lake Games

In the high mountains above Park City, Utah, home of a lot of the events of the Salt Lake Games.
Wyoming is the background. Dr. Bass is on the left, husband Evan is in the middle, and friend Jen
is on the right.

Buildings in Salt Lake City were "wrapped" with winter sports images, creating a striking Olympic skyline.  This one juxtaposes a figure skater with the Morman Temple -- an interesting contrast.

Sydney, 2000:  Women's Basketball gold medal game between USA and Australia.  Members of the Dream Team are in the lower right hand corner (white hats), there to cheer their counterparts.

Kyle Kop, captain of the USA men's water polo team, poses with Dr. Bass.

On the left: The view from the press area in Sydney Olympic Stadium -- the largest ever built specifically for an Olympic Games -- during some track and field finals.  On the right:  Dr. Bass at Taronga Zoo with one of their special residents.

Dr. Bass with Justin Huish, double gold medallist in men's archery. When Justin won, he let Amy try on one of his medals at the Closing Ceremony.

Centennial Park -- a public space at the Olympics that you didn't need a ticket to enter, allowing a more "open" feel for the Games.  The fountains sprang up without warning in the shape of the Olympic rings, soaking you by surprise.  You either had to be quick, or had to want to get wet.

The Atlanta Closing Ceremony: Dr. Bass (third from the left) with some colleagues on the infield during the Closing Ceremony.  First from the left is Michelle Dussere Farrell, silver medallist in gymnastics in 1984 (a teammate of Mary Lou Retton's)
