Celebrating the SNR Class of 2008

On Saturday, February 9, 2008 more than 100 graduating students from the School of New Resources’ six campuses gathered on the Main Campus for a celebration of the Class of 2008. Sponsored by the Office of Alumnae/i Relations, the event offered participants a chance to view live demos and sign up for the Online Community as well as learn about the services available to them as alumnae/i from representatives of various College departments, including College Advancement, Counseling & Career Services, College Relations, and Government Relations.  For those contemplating an advanced degree, a representative from the Graduate School was on hand to offer information and distribute application packets.

The afternoon ended with a reception in the Castle Gallery, where the Class of 2008 had an opportunity to meet exhibiting artist Laura James and listen to the music of David Patterson SNR’97 and his jazz quartet.

“I chose the program at CNR because it was the most comprehensive in the region. Courses were specific to the various aspects of aging – other programs concentrated solely on counseling techniques with aging-specific knowledge to be acquired through community experiences. The faculty was exceptionally committed to the field.”
