CNR Students presented Serviam Awards by the Ursuline Institute

At the Annual College Community Dinner in November, the Ursuline Institute presented the 2004 Serviam Awards to recognize a CNR student from each of the four Schools who demonstrates a strong commitment to service. This year’s awardees were Matilda Lloyd, School of New Resources; Kathryn Tyranski, School of Arts and Sciences; Cristiane Morejon; Graduate School; and Natasha Ramgahan, School of Nursing.

International/Urban Plunges
will take place in January

During Intersession in January, CNR students will travel to two impoverished communities on the U.S. - Mexico border as part of an International Plunge, while other students participate in an Urban Plunge at Hale House in New York City. The Plunge, an annual community service project which traditionally takes place over spring break, was rescheduled this year as spring break falls during Holy Week. m o r e

SAS Professor awarded fellowship
Cristina de Gennaro, Associate Professor of Art, School of Arts and Sciences, was awarded a fellowship for an artist residency at the Jentel Artist Residency program in Banner, Wyoming this past summer. Cristina, who is Chair of the SAS Art Department, was in residence from July 15 through August 13, during which time she researched and created new art work.
