CNR President Stephen J. Sweeny, along with
representatives from the College’s Board of Trustees, ikon5 Architects,
Andron Construction, and members of the College Community gathered on a
sunny winter morning to celebrate the "Topping Off" of CNR’s Wellness
Center. The "Topping Off" Ceremony is a construction industry tradition
held to commemorate a milestone in the construction of a building --
the placement of the highest steel beam. Before the white “topping off”
beam was lifted high into place it was ceremonially signed by President
Sweeny, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Michael N. Ambler, Vice
Presidents of the College, Deans, representatives of all
the City Campuses, various college groups, the Ursuline Community, and
student leaders of CNR. Following the ceremony, lunch was
served for the College Community and guests at the Student Campus
Center.
